Our UDI Breakfast Seminar: Real Estate Marketing in the New Economy
At our recent UDI breakfast seminar, Marketing in the New Economy, we heard from a number of thought leaders in the fields of marketing, media, and technology – who all shared their observations on today’s consumer and the new digital environment. It was a very thought-provoking morning, and a satisfying event for all of us. Our own David Allison spoke to the opportunity for today’s real estate developers/marketers to “Sell the Truth and Be the Media”. Kirk LaPointe, Managing Editor of the Vancouver Sun, held forth on the state of print media, with a refreshing confidence and embrace of the changes transforming that industry. Amielle Lake, of Tagga, spoke to the growing potential of mobile media in today’s world. Hanson Lok, Senior Research Analyst at Ipsos Reid, gave us some very telling insight on the mentality of today’s real estate buyer (more on Hanson’s findings here). And Chris Breikks, of 6S Marketing, ran through a number of compelling new technologies, all of which have big potential to change the digital landscape. All told, it was a very friendly, edifying way to start the day.
For those of you who weren’t able to make the seminar, we’ve prepared this little video. It gives you a small taste of the speakers at the conference, and what they had to say. Hope to see you next time, at what promises to be an annual event!
